Raymond Taylor
Co-Founder • CSP President
Co-Founder and President, Raymond Taylor began his career with nine years at Highlander/TetraTech Environmental, enabling him to become knowledgeable in soil and groundwater remediation techniques. From there Raymond served as a Health and Safety Supervisor at Whiting Oil and Gas for their operations in the Permian and Denver-Julesburg Basins. It was there that Raymond learned the compliance challenges associated with oilfield construction, gas processing facilities, work-over & drilling operations, completions work, and maintenance activities.
Raymond has successfully completed graduate courses at the University of Denver focusing on Emergency Response and Planning. In 2017, he achieved ASP and CSP certifications through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. Raymond spent four years in Alpine, TX attending Sul Ross State University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology.
Born and raised in Midland, he understands the values and work ethic it takes to be successful in the oil and gas industry.
Tim Derryberry
Co-Founder • Chief Operating Officer
Tim Derryberry, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer, most recently served as Facilities Construction Manager at Whiting Oil and Gas for twelve years. The projects executed by Tim’s team include the construction of multiple gas processing facilities in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. This group was also responsible for the construction of gathering systems, production facilities, and saltwater disposals from Corpus Christi to Williston. Tim also spent seven years at Kinder Morgan as a Construction Coordinator exposing him to the challenges of project management that included scheduling, procurement, and landowner relations.
Tim’s collegiate career includes time at Western Texas College in Snyder, Texas and Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. Tim has been around the oil and gas industry since he was born in Snyder, Texas and worked in fields and processing facilities from South Texas to North Dakota. His tenure in the industry and West Texas roots give him a unique ability to execute any size of project with safety, efficiency, and stakeholder value at the forefront.
Christian V. Gafford
Project Coordinator
Prior to being hired at Lobo Services, Christian worked for Elk Land Resources as a landman where he became familiar with mineral/land acquisitions, ROW and the ability to manage professional & client relationships. He began as a Safety Technician with Lobo Services but, after gaining experience in the safety/environmental field was promoted to Project Coordinator, where he uses the skills learned to manage projects, and coordinate soil remediation/roustabout crews. Christian oversees day-to-day operations in the field and also, provides assistance to his team members in the office.
Christian was born and raised in Midland, Texas and graduated from Midland Highschool. He knows the dedication and work ethic which is required to thrive in the oil and gas industry.
James C. Hunnicutt
Environmental Professional
Jim Hunnicutt has more than 30 years of experience in the environmental industry. His primary environmental specialty is the investigation and preparation of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), as well as project management of Phase II investigations performed as a result of Phase I ESAs. He also reviews and evaluates Phase I ESAs performed by third parties on behalf of various clients. Past ESA projects have included: literally thousands of oil and gas wells, together with associated production facilities in six states, performed for both major and independent oil companies; oil and gas service and drilling company facilities in four states; industrial sites, commercial and retail establishments, and undeveloped real estate; third party audits of waste facilities; research and compliance with state and federal environmental regulations; and hazardous and solid waste characterization and management.
Jim has 12 years of professional legal experience, both in private practice and as in-house counsel. He has a broad background in transactional work, both in general corporate and commercial practice, as well as oil and gas law, which included preparation of oil and gas title opinions, sales and acquisitions of oil and gas properties, and document preparation and negotiation. Additionally, he has experience in civil litigation, both in litigation management and actual client representation.
Sharon Lichthardt
HR & Accounting Manager
Sharon has been with Lobo Services since 2018 and has been instrumental in developing the financial framework and processes that are used today. Her 25+ years of work experience lies in local government, non-profit, and sub-chapter S corporations. Prior to Lobo Services she worked as Finance Director for Wilkinson Public Library in Telluride, Colorado; assisted small businesses in Colorado through the SBDC; as Staff Accountant for Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory in Batavia, IL; as Accountant/Office Manager for Vision Pickling & Processing, Inc. in Waterman, IL; as Finance Director for Voluntary Action Center in Sycamore, IL; and seasonal tax preparation.
Eric Saucedo
Electrical Superintendent
Eric Saucedo was born and raised on the outskirts of El Paso in a small town named Fabens Tx. Upon graduating high school, Eric attended Sul Ross State University where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology and Sports Science in 2008. Shortly after graduating, Eric found his way to Midland Tx where he started his career in the oil & gas industry. He started out as an apprentice electrician and quickly realized his passion for electrical. Throughout the years he moved his way up as an electrical foreman and has gained knowledge and experience in supervising crews in the electrical industry. In 2014, he received his electrical Journeyman license and since then has expanded his knowledge and is qualified in project management & budgeting. In 2018, he took an operations manager role where he managed both electrical and Powerline. Fast forward to 2021, he has obtained his Master electrical license. Overall Eric brings about 12 years of electrical experience and is dedicated to the growth of Lobo Services.
Stephen Schmidt
B.S. Environmental Scientist, Remediation Specialist
Stephen Schmidt is a Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Graduate, with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science. Stephen started his career with Lobo Services and Consulting on March 10, 2022. Stephens time with Lobo Services has allowed him to become familiar with rules and regulations pertaining to produced water and oil releases, in the Texas New Mexico oil and gas fields. Stephen has participated in numerous environmental Phase I & II assessments, as well as phase II remediation oversite. Prior to joining the LOBO team, Stephen was an Air & Process Specialist, for the Trihydro Corporation. His time with Trihydro, allowed him to become knowledgeable about rules and regulations of fugitive emissions, as they pertain to onshore natural gas processing facilities, in the Permian Basin. With knowledge comes expertise, and through hard work, anything is attainable.
Berry D. Simpson
Environmental Professional
Berry has over forty years of experience in project management, field operations, well completions, workovers, lease evaluations, and facility design.
This experience includes economic evaluations for acquisitions, annual reviews, end-of-life analysis, and estate valuations; managing oil and gas leases to maintain profitability through several oil-price crashes - leases ranging from fully-developed waterfloods to low-margin stripper leases and gas wells; production and depletion plans for a variety of leases and fields in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Indiana, and Kentucky; waterflood studies of mature floods, drawing creative conclusions from production and well completion data, recommending profile modifications, infill drilling, artificial lift designs, and other workovers (in a variety of fields in Ector, Andrews, Martin, Lea, Terry, Midland, Howard, and Scurry counties); drilling prognosis and completions for development wells in Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma; and initiated and designed workovers, wellbore cleanouts, stimulations, downhole equipment, and casing repairs.
Ymelda Tavarez
Office Manager/Accountant I
Ymelda Tavarez has been with Lobo Services since September of 2021. She attained her Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin in December of 2020. In addition to accounts receivable and accounts payable, Ymelda also oversees and maintains the office’s day-to-day operations. While this is her first job in the Oil&Gas/Accounting industry, she has shown a stellar work ethic and attention to detail that has been highly beneficial to Lobo Services.
Samuel Viscaino
Project Manager
Samuel has proudly worked in the oil field industry-Permian Basin since 2003. He has worked on industrial and oil field projects starting out as a helper and later assuming the role of an area supervisor. He worked for Saulsbury Industries for over ten years as an area foreman, supervising linemen in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical power lines and electrical systems. In addition to routine maintenance on electrical systems, he also has knowledge in areas such as installation of conductors, distribution and utilization of electricity for power distribution, heat trace, industrial control systems, motor control circuits, grounding, and troubleshooting high voltage electrical equipment. He is detail-oriented and highly committed to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. His long tenure has allowed him to possess extensive knowledge of Electrical projects, leadership, and time management.
Aaron B. Wilson, Jr.
Environmental Professional
Mr. Wilson has over 30 years of experience in the environmental industry with 23 years working for oil and gas E&P and pipeline companies and nine years as an environmental consultant. His primary environmental specialties are soil and groundwater assessments and remediation. As a consultant, he has performed Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) on hundreds of oil and gas, industrial and commercial properties. He has also performed pit closures, EHS compliance audits, SARA Title III Tier 2 reporting, SPCC and TGLO spill plans, and waste characterizations and disposal for Oil & Gas companies in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Wyoming, and Louisiana. As an environmental professional and manager for oil and gas E&P and pipeline companies he managed air, waste, water, and remediation programs. Specific air compliance programs included obtaining permits for production, compression, and gas processing facilities, LDAR surveying and reporting, compressor engine emissions testing, annual reporting of GHG and criteria pollutants emissions inventories, OOOO/OOOOa compliance, and emissions event reporting. The waste programs included auditing of third-party SWDs and solid waste disposal facilities as well as managing the decontamination of NORM-contaminated equipment and the remediation and disposal of NORM-impacted ground areas. The water programs included obtaining and maintaining SPCC and FRP spill plans for production, gas processing, and pipeline facilities. The remediation programs included tracking, reporting, and remediation of oil, condensate, produced water, fuels, lube oils, and chemicals spills. Additionally, he developed company ESG metrics and annual reports, environmental manuals and conducted environmental compliance training.
